I am new to this site but have no idea if you really do get anything out of it other than friendship?

About grants, here in the UK you are not entitled to many of them unless you are unemployed but that all depends upon what type of social security benefits you receive too. I applied but my application got turned down as hold a part time job but still need furniture after going through so much second-hand things and just can't afford it.

It's surprising to know that America has a wealth of grants available for individual applicants, in Britain most if not all charities and trust funds give to groups and organizations, not to just one person seeking help so think that we are well behind in this respect.

I have helped clients get grants before - especially when they have had to do with utility-related bills.  A lot of the people that I work for don't want their names listed mainly because they don't want people to know about it.

But 9 times out of 10 grant programs will provide a list of their past grant recipients whether it be via their online site or on their printed publications.

I have also seen a lot of daycare-related forums where others have posted that they have received a grant (or two) for their daycare business.

It's just a matter of just looking around and you will find those that have received grants before in the past.
